Are the Dinivity and Baldurs Gate universes connected somehow or is this just easter egg?

That's from the digital deluxe isn't it? I believe it mentions portraits as one of the rewards.

I found the portrait by exploring the map, inside an abandoned Chapel

I stumbled on Red Prince myself and just assumed it was a one-off item but apparently there are portraits for ALL the DOS2 heroes

Well D&D actually do have the multiverse, but it's called planes, but it's useually locked to one multiplane aka multiverse, but sometimes things from other multiverses or timelines slips through, and we get crazy stuff like popeye, looney tunes, or heck even disney visiting this plane of exsistence.

Heck we even have a mad max timeline where the gnomes Nuked the world called the dark sun serie.
