party size mods?
i know its early and will probably take some time but does anyone know of any mods that work with increasing the party size? i find having only 3 story characters along with my own OC kind of underwhelming story wise. i know the game is built around a 4 player party but i figure if i run a 6 player party and play on tactician itll buff out

There are a couple mods (I believe one was called "Party Size Extended"), but as far as I know none have yet been updated for the full release of the game.

Sadly they only work for single-player, and don't add more slots for human players like the equivalent mod in Divinity OS2 did. That doesn't sound like an issue for you, and I'm definitely not shamelessly bumping/hijacking this topic to see if anyone is working on a multiplayer one, no sirree.

Check the Nexus, there's two that I'm aware of, and both have been updated for Full Release (although only one for the hotfix). Names are Party Limit Begone (which my partner is using and says it works fine), other is Party Size Updated. I'm still installing, so can't personally verify if they're working.

honestly i would love a multiplayer mod of this nature because only having a 4 player squad feels like im missing some friends, and i think it would really compliment the "drop in" style coop the game has. bump the difficulty up to tactician and reroll characters when people die lol and hope they can get your stuff

Wouldn't a bigger party just make the game too easy?

4 peoples a bit weird since the average adventurer party is usually 5 people,

Used to be 6 as standard in CRPGS
True but i doubt they'd allow it but 5 seems needed as it is it forces you to make awkward comps.
So for anyone wondering, I found a party size mod on nexus mods that let's you have up to 16 party members (ignorance)

Even on tactician, the most party members youre gonna want to gave is 6. Any more than 6 and the game becomes completely broken with how easy it is

If you want a sweet spot I think 5 party members is where its at, if you play on tactician the 1 extra party member is a huge help but won't be game breaking, unless you're specifically power gaming.

A few things I've noticed with 7 party members, you get a LOT more dialog out of everyone but since so many people are trying to bang me now, its day 5 and ive yet to ♥♥♥♥ anyone and I think its because I have 3 PCs trying to smash at once and the game gets confused.

When it comes to all other dialog ive gotten a max of 4 party members to join a conversation at once.

Great for RP, great if you need extra help, but if youre trying to romance your party members id stick to one at a time with the party mod

might have to bite the bullet and play the 20 year older title that offered the groundbreaking feature.

seeing that having more or less party members doesn't have any effect on exp gain, yes it would make the game easier
