Download Resetting Progress Upon Pause / Connection Reset

I understand I'm in an extreme minority of people that have unreliable internet. For reference, I'm in a hotel as a long-term guest and my download speed is about 600 kb/s. It will take 2-3 days of constant downloading to complete. Unfortunately, I have to log-in to the wifi daily and each time I do, my progress resets. This morning I was at 33% after a night of downloading. After my connection reset, it returned to 5%. This has happened three times. I won't hold this against the developer as, once again, I understand that I'm in a unique situation - but I'd really like to play the game. A 100gb patch is absolutely massive and I wish they had allowed preloads.

So this is the source of the sudden surge of worries.

Could you elaborate at which timestamps the progress did reset?

I'm on DSL and get 500 Kbs if I'm lucky.
Unfortunately, I paused the game earlier today and need to re-DL everything now. :P

Same issue, I have nearly finished , only 3 gigs left, so I switch connection (paused the download and closed steam properly) to my 4G phone, and the download was reset.

Correct, it's 600 kb/s. We're in the same boat.

I had a connection interrupt. Seems to be working. Before I started redownloading I totally uninstalled my early access version of Baldur's Gate and emptied its install folder.

Checking back this morning to report.

I followed the Larian guide to Installation problems - deleting early access version of Baldur's Gate and wiping the folders contents - and it appears as though my download now properly resumes after disconnect / pause.
