Why nudity?

I'm not against nudity, infact I'm rather fond of nudity. But I don't get the nudity here. I mean, I haven't seen the sex/romance scenes yet but I'm not sold that genitalia, really brings much to the table.

Maybe the game needed bigger genitalia. Or smaller tables.

It's like the penis in Cyberpunk. It doesn't really serve any purpose.

Do some people find it enhances immersion when the nude models are on display? Is that the point?

Might not the time have been better spent, elsewhere?

Eh, its a new generation with new generational problems. Every generation makes their mistakes and corrects the ones from the past. Its just the over all nature of things. I do enjoy these kind of topics, but its important to know, can't get to caught up in this BS. No point and these kind of problems are not self sustaining anyway. They will back fire and revert back somewhat in time, Just look at Disney and Budweiser, they are already tasting the backlash.

I am going to go ahead and give you a jester for this, because this post is the most irrelevant thing that I have seen thus far. There is literally a check box that disables genitalia and nudity in scene. So please stop wasting everyone's time and the electricity to produce something as asinine as this. When there is a check box in the game that makes your entire post moot. Wow check the settings before you post, and waste everyone's time.

There is nothing wrong with it to begin with, but the fact that you can disable it; and you still think your post is relevant is a joke.

It's not hard to moderate a commercial product. Hell. even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reddit of all places moderates better.

Mods are not just sympathetic, they are alts. Larian should be horrified that the forum where customers go is a bastion of hate.

I don't know. Maybe Swen is on board with it. Seems like it.. There's plenty of steam forums with stewards who shut this kind of ♥♥♥♥ down.

The art direction sought to give the game a more mature theme. Of course it doesn't, as you say, "bring much". It only adds. It is one of many things that add to the mature setting of the game.
Why is there nudity in some movies, and in others there isn't any at all? Same reason... nothing deeper than that.

BTW you can turn off nudity if it bothers you.

See, I'm not sure it does add maturity. It certainly justifies a higher age rating. But it could also be regarded as a little juvenile, in the same way massive breasts can be in most JRPG's. More power to anyone who likes large breasted jrpg girls ofcourse. It just makes the genre seem a whole lot less, mature.

Maybe the context of the genitalia's "use" in game will make me a believer but I'm not convinced that, if a mature theme was the goal on the devs part, they will have achieved that aim.

D&D and many things beyond that have always been open to the imagination of the playe For roleplaying and immersion purposes, why not be able to have a nude character? There are clothes that and transmog over your armor, and there are the armors itself.

If you want to get into the technical reasons, 3D modelling devs make nude base models as a practice anyways. And a DM mode, just like in Divinity OS 2, will come out and some people will use that for a medium for their D&D sessions even more now that it has to do with the actual D&D ruleset. Even more freedom of roleplay for people who use it for their actual tabletop.

It actually had nothing to do with that guy, Bud has done cross dress/♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuff in the past and never been cancelled before. The outrage is cause their head of advertising publicly stated that Budweiser didn't want 'frat-boys' buying their beer nomore and instead wanted woke people. Then when Bud backed that statement up and double downed on it, the actual drinkers of the stuff agreed with them and moved on to anther beer company. Easy as that, You tell your consumer you don't want them to buy your stuff, don't be surprised when the consumer listens and moves on.

You can't be so sensitive and listen to only one side, you need to hear all sides and see the whole picture.

I noticed that as well, and not just with this game but other new releases as well. Kids getting their kicks by trying to offend as many people as possible, which is very easy I must say now-a-days I rember only goin back a year or so, steam would almost instantly shut down threads like this, or at the very least in a day or so. interesting times we live in.
