Sounds like you didn't understand what genre of game this was if you were expecting it to be like The Witcher or Skyrim.
In the games you listed, none was turn based.
Divinity 2 was not turn based, unless you mean Original sin 2 which is different from Divinity 2 Ego Draconis.
Funny, the only thing I have to "force" myself to do with this game is stop playing it so I can go to bed on time for work. lol
What is your progression in BG3 ? What act ? What level ?
The combats become funnier as you level up and get more skills, your characters become very powerful lategame and some classes get double attacks mid game.
