Wrong. Every level it auto applies the “suggested” except when it can’t, which is class based decisions. But spell prep is all automatic
i still remember my 1st DnD game. The DM gave lots of 'suggestive' language BUT still I had to make my own decisions. contrast to say a car insurance sales person where they have lots of suggestive language to answer questions you might have AND are actively trying to sway your decision making process because it's somewhat of a scripted conversation before you walk through the door... so to speak...
your party members are still YOUR party members. auto leveling is like a self driving car. you just want a world where you dont make decisions and consequences arent on your shoulders.
i'm saying you want a self driving car to drive you to a nutritionist without your say before you're even malnourished, obese, or diagnosed to have food allergies etc.
