That seems pretty conclusive. I wonder why Steamcharts is so wrong. It seems weird that they'd fail to count the publicly available concurrent player numbers correctly.
guess it has some coomer appeal if they can play the game long enough to get to those portions
When a game comes out it is often not on steamcharts for quite a while so it doesn't count the initial peak.
What did Elden ring get on release?

But it's relative, the Steam aspect remove games as The Witcher 3 that sold a ton on Gog, and it's possible Cyberpunk sold also a ton on Gog hence should have been quite higher if global not just Steam.
Still it's already quite an achievement in term of popularity or hype level.
And yet it gets the same troll hate as this game. Hogwarts also got a ton of hate for Sirona.
Steamdb's charts are much more accurate because they query the data every 5 minutes and also games get added right when released.
(But yes, BG is doing well)
