So in the tomb area there are three paintings, one depicting Moonrise Towers, one depicting Thorn’s wife, and one depicting Thorn leading an army of Shar worshippers, and all three have a button underneath them. There’s also a journal you can find that tells you that in order to proceed further you must repeat his life’s journey, from triumph to tragedy to infamy.

The answer is: Hit the buttons with the paintings that correspond to each part of his life. So first the Moonrise Towers(the day he gained triumphantly power), then his wife(who tragically died), and then Thorn with the Shar army(the day he became infamous).

So somehow my save was litterally bugged. I came to the same point with a new save and it worked smoothly. With doing the portraits in order.

I think the puzzle is bugged a bit, if you press Grief first there's no way to reset the puzzle without reloading the game which is ridiculous.

Left of door
Right of door

I just randomly hit them until I got it. It took two seconds.

The puzzle resets every third pressing of a button.
literally does not WORK
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the resetting behaviour is one of the most retarded programming i have ever come across. You have to press all 3 paintings until one glows red that means its reset and u can do it from the beginning

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
