Selling mechanics

Do character skills affect shop prices in any way? I saw a tip where it said vendor disposition DOES affect prices (if they like you, things are cheaper) but really want to know if everyone can sell for the same value. Shuffling gear around to sell would be a serious drag.

Also, is there a quick way to tag something as vendor trash to be sold?

Higher charisma definitely results in better deals; have confirmed that.

The DoS games from Larian allow you to increase vendor opinion of you via doing a little "keep the change" style palm greasing or just outright giving the vendor money to buy favour. I haven't tried that in BG3 but the interface looks more or less identical so I would be surprised if it didn't work.

Tagging for easy sale is the "add to wares" option but unfortunately Larian doesn't seem to want to provide keybinds for that functionality to make it speedy

Not sure on most of that, but “Add to Wares” is how you designate vendor trash. There is a sell wares button on left when bartering.

To clarify, does the bonus apply to the whole party or does the character with high charisma need to be the one selling everything? Meaning, you need to move all goods to their inventory before making a transaction.

I'd like to know the same thing as Skjarl, I'm uncertain as to how this works when selling items as well.

In EA I could see the clear differences between prices on different characters. Now all of my characters sell and buy everything for the same prices, what I can only assume is standard price, no matter if I have 18 CHA or 9.

Bad UI doesnt explain if there is a discount bonus from highest CHA character now or if I have just encountered some weird trading bug that wont use the charisma discount bonuses at all.

So, i just figured it out. The character INITIATING conversation with the merchant will have Thier charisma bonus for the whole party when trading.
