Is 12 constitution enough? Or is it just like tabletop where 14 con is always "required"?
Making my character as a lv1 Lolth Drow rogue with plans to be a monk at lv2.

My stats are

STR: 8
DEX: 16
CON: 14
INT: 10
WIS: 16
CHA: 10

I'd like my character's charisma to be a 12 but I dont like the idea of my character being a brainlet so I don't want INT 8, so I'm wondering is it worth it in BG3 to lower my CON to 12?

Or is it just as important to have 14 CON as it is in tabletop?

On lower or normal difficulty for sure. You can make any hero work with 12 CON but you will be little squishier. Some classes like Barb or fighter I would go higher personaly.

2 pts of con is 1 HP/level and effects your Con save.

At the end of the day it's a 12 hit point difference at level cap and only 1 pt dfference on your con save.

So as long as you play in ways that reduce being hit it works out.

I have not gotten far on Tactician but I feel that even there, it's more important to position, stealth, debuff and buff. Playing smart and with the tools the game gives you will make much more impact than 2 points of con for your ability to survive.

Plus if you are finding you need that extra few HP, you can respec down the road.
