Origin Characters Lose All Personality?
I was really excited to play the Origin characters after playing alongside some of them in Early Access, but if you pick one they lose all of their personality and voice lines and become silent protagonists. It completely ruins the character.

Additionally, cutscenes involving your Origin character will be cut short or simply not included; for an early example, compare playing Lae'zel to playing a Custom character who meets her.

Basically, if you want to experience a character's personality, don't play them. For some reason the developers decided to strip all personality, voice lines, and unique cutscenes from the character you pick, reducing them to a silent protagonist that stares blankly in most interactions.

Nah I played through D:OS2 twice and felt the personality of the characters was maintained. It may be a difference in presentation, D:OS2 didn't have the detailed voice-acted cutscenes at all while BG3 has them but skips them if you play as an Origin character.

They cut a *lot* off stuff if you're playing a custom character too. Gale and Wyll are nearly unrecognizable, personality wise, and damn near everything that was part of Wyll's questline in EA was cut.
