Stay human and speak with anyone, wild shape for combat, exploration & stuff as much as you want.
In early access if there was an event while exploring, like meeting a new npc or something, you would still be in wild shape and the main character to speak with npc would switch to be one of your companions. Is this still the case in the full game tho? That was the main reason I opted not to play the druid, even tho Wild Shaping is literally my favorite thing in the world
