wizard game breaking item
OK, so I found a semi-broken item in blight village you can find a group of trolls if you kill all of them and loot Lump the enlightened he has a headband called Warped Headband of Intelligence. Now early access to this item just gave +1 to your intelligence stat good but not broken, but now it increases your intelligence to 17 no matter what, meaning you could create a character with an extra 9 stat points in the first 3-5 hours of the game.

It works the same way it did in early access. It gives you 17 intellect. It's absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥ for a wizard. It's better on someone who uses int more as a dump stat.

Its been around forever that item lol

Like others have said it sets your intelligence to 17 and can't be raised. Terrible for wizards who want higher intelligence scores. It is mainly for eldritch knight and arcane trickster that want as much intelligence as they can get, but don't have the ability score to invest into intelligence.

it is broken tho because you could take the wizard class drop your intelligence down to 8, and put all those stats into everything else then still get 17 intelligence within the first 2-4 hours of the game essentially giving you 9 free extra stat points

pretty bad, since there are better helmets in game. Ive found intel is kinda useless so far too.
Just pick up any wizard in your party for specific intel events if you truly wanna roll for them, but honestly. it seems like the least used stat.

You do not use it on a wizard....you use it on all other classes, dump int to 8, so that you can push the holy tree as high as possible,

Class stat > dex = const.

As Wizard you want 17+ int, and use you abilty features on 4/8/12 to get your int to 20.

But 17 Int per item are strong for other classes, to get there resitance rolls from int from -1/-2 to +2

It's absolutely not broken. It can work for a really really small niche of Characters, because there are way way more useful things in the helmet/head-item-department than a boost to intelligence. Not only can you not increase it whatsoever if you would want to - You will never be able to get a better modifier than +3 with that on a stat that is neglectable as hell for most classes, you miss out on various really really powerful items which will help you way more.

If you really think its broken to create a wizard with no intelligence which will be forever stuck at 17 with +3 for the rest of the game... yeah... you are just not right.

I already changed it for something else in the later period of Early access at lvl 5, having this benefit for maybe 2-3 hours. Not to imagine what you will get at higher levels.

A 17 intelligence in all intends and purposes is a 16 intelligence, which is what most wizards will start with at level 1. Yes you could invest those points into another ability, but you wouldn't be making yourself into a better wizard and probably not even a better character.

What would you even put points into; wisdom for better saving throws, charisma to get +3 in dialog, strength so you can shove better. None of that seems valuable compared to when you want that extra 10% chance for a save/suck spell to land or you are averaging -20 less damage on fireballs because everything is beating your DC.
