If anyone has a solution, would love to hear it! I'd really hate to backtrack all those hours.
That sucked but it's better than starting again!
Then I went on to the beach, the amulet scene and the saving Arabella kid. All worked as intended.
It has to be a bug though, right? If not, I guess what would turn them against you is stopping the kid from robbing you? It seemed like a totally neutral response to me.
These massive consequences for extremely minor actions are not at all realistic and just take away from the immersion and fun. I mean seriously, because I stopped the kid, to progress I would have to murder the entire village? It makes you feel the need to play the game with a bloody step-by-step guide.
Dude, thanks so much. I was about to quit. That worked. I can talk to the guards again without issue. Just run whichever companion it's having issue with past the guards (likely shadowheart and gale, and your own character) and savescum until you pass the D20.
It's my first time playing a game like this, I took my time, tried to learn. I was not about to lose 10 hours of progress over something dumb like that.
I get the whole "your actions have consequences" thing but massaccarring the entire grove just because you caught a kid pick-pocketing you? That's a bit extreme.
she just wanders the cave with over head text. /shrug
i was hoping not to encounter bugs in act1.. the only act that has been playtested a whole lot... not looking good for the future lol
Edit. So I tested this some more. If the guard talks to every party member what you need to do is approach him with any party member except for the one you want to do the dice roll. Once he talk to one person, switch to another and approach him. He will end conversation and start it with the one you are controlling. Keep dong it until you're the last person in the party. The one who has the best chance at winning the roll. After that you can walk freely.
Heroic Paladin with Oath of Devotion here
Killed 2 out of 3 Goblin Camp Leaders and freed Halsin who is chilling the dungeon but decided to purse some other quests in the meantime again
Did the swamp and went back to the refugees afterwards and i wondered if talking to Mol again might clear her quest which it actually did
After wards i did the Shadow Druids and as next step i have to report to the refugee leader
While my Paladin can easily clear the check by herself and Shadowheart's Guidance, the whole freaking party has to clear it too
Simply surrendering doesn't work either because the Thieflings instantly aggro instead of triggering the next accused dialogue
I know it is likely a bug, but jeez, these npcs are very ungrateful from the current point of view of my party
