Shovel the Quasit

Shovel stays in your party after a long rest now!!!

If you don't know who shovel is she is a Quasit familiar that has some entertaining dialog.

You can find a scroll to summon her in a coffin near where you find the necromancy of thay book
In EA she would vanish after a long rest, but I just did one and she's still grouped up!

Edit: I figured out how to get it as a summon no matter your class. If you're not a Wizard, Sorcerer or Warlock respec at Whithers to get 1 level of any of those classes. Use the scroll and go thru Shovel's dialog until they say somthing about you being a spell ♥♥♥♥♥ and to summon them when the fighting starts. You should now have the skill to summon them in your common skills. You can now respec to your original class and the skill to summon the Quasit will remain.

Also there is an achievement for summoning her for all you completionists.

If Fork(Cuz why not?) dies can she still be resummoned?

No, if they die they stay dead. dunno about memorizing the scroll as a wiz if it summons shovel/fork or just a regular quasit.

I can confirm that Gale can learn to summon Shovel as a permanent prepared ritual spell. I would have preferred and Imp, but it's still nice to have on a Wizard.

I'm playing a warlock with Pact of the Tome and dunno if it's a bug, but Find Familiar: Cheeky Quasit is permanent now and I can bring it back after a short rest.

I've checked all of the coffins outside of the place where you find Thoth and haven't found the scroll. Does it disappear if the coffins are destroyed?

This is my experience. First attempt opened a coffin. Skeleton spawned who then woke up other skeletons. I managed to win, but smashed everything in room during fight. Used a lot of fire. Only loot I found was on the skeletons corpses, and it was junk, no scroll. Second attempt opened a coffin and killed the skeleton quickly. All other coffins were intact and I found much better loot and i also found the scroll. I would note that I had already passed the magic mirrors test both times.

I’ve found that if your at least a lvl 1 warlock, sorcerer, or wizard you can get the action find familiar cheeky quasit if you explore her dialogue tree correctly. And it seems to be permanent.

It's in the first coffin on the right as you approach the cave area.

Got the scroll as a wizard, learned it, but the spell is not in my spell book or the find familiar spell menu. Is it bugged? 🫤

It worked for my wiz when testing, but another way is don't scribe the scroll, use it and talk to the Quasit and go thru the dialog until it mentions you being a caster. (you may need to talk with it more than once) you should then have the skill to summon it in your common skills.

Having Shovel in my party all the time is so great. They make the best comments during battle. And being able to go invisible and just hang out by someone so my rogue can sneak attack is pretty handy.
