Acheivement: Kill Commander Zhalk

So I killed him this morning. He died, I looted the body, killed the mindflayer then ended the scenario by connecting the console. The acheivement didn't fire.

Any1 else having the same issue or is it just me? I saw that there were a small update to BG3 this morning is that the issue?

Anyhow I guess I have to kill him on my next run again to get the achievement but ye abit sad..

The achievement fired just fine for me and my friends. He drops a cool fire sword

You have to actually kill him, not the mindflayer.

I managed to kill Zhalk too, didn't get the achievement :\

Some say you need to deal the final blow, which to me that means also no AOE or bleeding...

Killed him and got no achievement. One time, my party did the final hit and one time the mindflayer. No difference.

Just got the achievement after 15 reloads lol. You gotta last hit him.
Best chance is to use lae'zel equipped with Zhalk's weapon. Bless+good rng helps.
