Character Creator fails to hit inclusivity mark

If you are anything other than a man of average height or a woman of average height you are out of luck if you want to make yourself in this game.

Are you a short king? Too bad!
Are you a woman with larger then usual breast? nope can have that.
Are you a shorter woman? Well you can just pick dwarf or halfling shorty.
Are you a very tall man or woman? Haha get out of here.
Are you a woman with thick thighs? Stop lying those don't exist
Got small breast, just stop mentioning breast there is no place for that here.
Are you a little chubby and proud of it? you won't be here
You have a round belly? why would you want that on your character?
What? You wanted to change your facial features in depth? Lol, here’s are 8 preset options go crazy!!

So disappointed with the character creator. No height, physique and face sliders for character customization in 2023 is crazy to me. I’m gonna love the game regardless but just wanted to voice my frustration. Maybe it will inspire Larian to upgrade the divinity 4 engine to accommodate theses things in the future.

P.S remember to turn off Karmic Dice its turned on by default

What you talking about man? I'm a tall guy and I can finally play a character is that is tall. Well I did before I had to abandon my Dark Urge character, now playing a dwarf but yeah, we got an option to play a tall guy. That's inclusive.

Fair criticisms, the body variety is rather lacking. I imagine most people wanted sliders. I certainly did.

Does the engine they use even have options for that? Not sure if modders would be able to "fix" that or not.

Honestly doesn't bother me at all since I don't plan on ever trying to make a character that looks like me in a fantasy game.

Honestly I think games and media would be better off it they stopped trying to pander to inclusivity, most of the time it's to cater to dull people who think their sexuality is the most interesting aspect of their character (making them extremely dull), or operate in a vacuum of perceived saviour complex (don't worry, minority, I will speak up for you!).

We've never needed this explicit pandering and honestly we were better off for it, and people were still represented. To have everyone represented everywhere, all the time, is just unrealistic and unreasonable.

I did find it kind of odd how you can have genital options, but no chest option? Also yeah I wouldn't have mind a height slider instead of being forced to play as an actual smaller race.

However it's not a big issue for me. I did use mods with friends for better hairs, faces, etc which is really cool thing you can do with people.

To be honest i knew some games with MUCH MORE possibilitys while creating a char. I was extremly surprised that there were no sliders vor face proportions or body size.
