Honestly doesn't bother me at all since I don't plan on ever trying to make a character that looks like me in a fantasy game.
We've never needed this explicit pandering and honestly we were better off for it, and people were still represented. To have everyone represented everywhere, all the time, is just unrealistic and unreasonable.
However it's not a big issue for me. I did use mods with friends for better hairs, faces, etc which is really cool thing you can do with people.
