Just want to have as much from game as possible in first run and not fail checks
Just because YOU have to have one of every class doesn't mean other people do; your MC is not responsible for all the skills. I have no idea why people are posting that. Similarly, Knowledge Cleric makes no sense, because you'll never even unlock their primary feature. The only think you'll ever get from that specific domain are the domain spells.
Here's my plan:
Starting stats: Human- 10/ 14/ 12/ 10/ 14/ 16
Level 1: Warlock, actually. Eldtrich Blast + Hex is the best damage you're going to get early game. CHA + Persuasion also allows you to be the party face, which is generally good for MC.
Level 2: Monk. Notable AC boost over early game armor. The only way you'll ever get two attacks attacks per turn with this build
Level 3: Rogue. Sneak attack is wonky in BG3, but it will still stack very nicely with Hex and the short sword you can now use from Monk.
Level 4: Bard. Lots of utility. CHA based spells. You should also find Bracers of Defense around this time, so your unarmored AC will still be better than any armor you can find.
Level 5: Sorcerer. More CHA based spells. Based upon the description, it looks like they implemented Monk's Unarmored AC incorrectly, and it looks like it WILL stack with Draconic Resilience. If it (incorrectly) stacks with Mage Armor, you're almost invincible.
------------------------------------------------
From this point on, I don't think it matters a whole lot. The core of your character is set: Hex, shortsword, unarmed strike, unarmored AC, Eldritch Blast, some other spells if you desperately need them. But for the sake of things...
Level 6: Fighter. Dueling will help your damage some, but it's not that big a deal.
Level 7: Cleric. Tempest Domain is the only useful one with only one level. It's not clear from the description, but it IS a reaction. I've seen people suggest War domain, but the primary appeal to that is the exact same as what you've already got from the Monk.
Level 8: Paladin: Why not? Lay on Hands can't hurt... It's also possible you'll finally be finding armor than can beat your unarmored AC by now (I have no idea; I haven't gotten this far in the game).
Level 9: Druid. Don't want to delay spell slot progression too much.
Level 10: Barbarian. There's a very slight chance their unarmored defense will stack with Monk/ Draconic/ etc... either way, it's a +1 with those starting stats, so it's not a major priority.
Level 11: Ranger. Running out of options. If you're trying to prioritize the skill monkey thing, maybe take this a bit earlier; it's literally all you can hope to get out of one level in this class.
Level 12: Wizard. Worst for last.
Exactly my question, looks like an achievement for a fresh companion character or...even a hireling?
I just took a level 1 companion I had chilling in my camp through the whole game, and leveled him to 12 with 1 in each class and got the achievement. So yes. It does work.
I'd previously used Withers to respec two companions (not Tav) and I managed to get the achievement by getting 1 level in every class for a third companion, whom I acquired late in the game. So it's the latter.
That means, if you want the achievement "legitimately" and not just from hiring a hireling at level 12, you either have to commit to your upholding your Oath, live without your Paladin powers, or save Paladin for a later level, despite it being most optimal to make Paladin one of your first 7 choices.
