Inspiration points gone?

In early access i had like 3-4 points in 2 hours, played 5 in release version and have none of them.

Picked up a soul coin which 100% sure was an inspiration point for Astarion in EA, still had nothing.

seems like a bug or plain dead mechanic to me

I got an inspiration point for reading a book for Gale. So it's still a thing. Might be a bug or they changed what gave inspiration points specifically. Of Astarion might be full on points. You can only have a few saved at once.

I'd say it's a pace things, and not a bug. I've already used 1 and have 4 more to use.

Also, I know I've not gone very far at all, but I've not done it quickly, and spent time wandering and looking at things, rather than just rushing around.

I got the same problem.I completed all the orphans stories but still got nothing on record and no points.Considering start a new campaign to try.

They changed astarion's background from noble to charlatan, that's why you didn't get an inspiration point from the soul coin.
I've gotten more than plenty inspiration points though in my couple hours of playtime.
Could be they changed when and how the points are distributed to balance it for the whole game.

I just find a way to fix this.I deleted my EA save files.Then I can get points when I triggered another inspiration point.But things I did before I dont think I can get those points back.Hope this can help you.
