Why women look so ugly in this game?

Like, literally, with exception of Shadowheart which is moderate wife material, rest of the main characters and all the female NPCs are ugly as all Hell. What's the matter with that trend? Women CAN be independent and powerful without looking like stumps with eyes.

You are either Blind as a Bat, or refuse to accept the Truth. When you look at the Womens Faces that they used to Mocap them its rather Obvious that Western Developers are Changing their Faces to not look as Good.

That's a very nice compliment to the actors, but I don't see it.

Also, bats have generally a very keen eyesight.

To be honest, what it really boils down to is the emphasis on realism in a vidyagame, which I imagine is what mocapping provides? I wouldn't really know enough about that or how much of the person is lost from model to character. I remember finding it odd that Miranda Lawson from ME2/ME3 looked really off while the model she was based on was extremely attractive.

But yeah I suppose what it boils down to for me is that I'm not keen on realism. Isn't what I play games for. That being said, I think in terms of proportions and face structure, the male character models feel more designed to be idealised while (imo, obviously) the hottest female option looks as if she's trying really hard not to let loose a cheek rippling fart. Oddly, when I used a mod to unlock NPC options, there was a lot more diversity in how my character could look, including extremely (imo) pretty options, without abandoning the 'realistic' look they're trying to go for?

Given that this game is intensely lustful and full of sex, I find it utterly ironic that a game so hell bent on sex is also so hell bent on unattractive females. it is really weird. but i personally don't care because the sex for me is irrelevant, i just want a fun game.

There is exactly zero sex in the game except succubus scene and his aftermath trick.

Softcore "relationship" kissing between party members and Drow blackout do not count.

Asking for a kiss on the cheek from young lady for saving her brother in DA:Orginis was far more sexy than whatever you can find in BG3.

Modern audience can not bear too much attractive people because at no point in life these losers will be anywhere near in the term of looks.

Karlach's scenes get pretty raunchy, not going to lie. There's sex, but it's not something you have to interact with if you don't want to

Most look pretty good, except for the Githyanki, but Githyanki are not supposed to be beautiful to human eyes. Reminds me of the debate in Neverwinter Nights 2, almost 20 years ago. The game had a female Red Wizards and some idiots complained about her bald head, which was absolutely correct for Red Wizards. I think some had even mods that gave her hair.

Characters that are supposed to be beautiful are beautiful in BG3.
