Is there any way to let a split screen player control other party members in battle?
It seems weird to have this big party and only first player gets to control all of it while the split screen player only controls themselves. It makes the pace of the combat feel very weird. I couldn't figure out how to do this if it's possible.

Go into the menu and session, there you can assign npcs to local coop players. Just a button to press (check the bottom of the screen, I don't remember which)

I don't know if it works in BG 3 but in divinity two you could unlink your group and split it up between players.

you need to invite character in to the party by player wich you want to control them

Hm, I saw a group and split option but it didnt seem to let me assign any of them to my split screen partner.

Are you saying that the split screen player needs to be the one who "recruits" the companion?

The second player doesn't need to recruit them. In the party menu you can manually group party members together. Or you can dismiss an npc on player 1 and have player 2 invite an npc to follow at camp.

Hm, I'm still early and don't have a camp just yet. I seem to remember my split screen player not being able to be "grouped" as the option was greyed out. Will experiment more when I play tonight. If it should be possible then I'll figure it out (we're on controllers too which is a whole different UI, if that matters)
