Lockpick without a Rogue?

I'm not a fan of having a Rogue in my party but also not keen on missing locked doors/chests etc.
Apart from the Knock spell, is there a way for non Rogues to pick locks?

Yeah with the thief tools but it'll be harder to unlock stuff

You can get a spell called "knock" right away that opens locks.

As long as you have good dexterity, thieve's tools, and the sleight of hand proficiency, anyone can pick a lock pretty well. I made a bard with the urchin background for instance and that gave me sleight of hand. So I can pick locks as a bard.

You can also use a Ranger or Bard, there is nothing about the Rogue class that actually makes them better at lock picking than Ranger or Bard, you just have to pick up thieves tools proficiency which can be picked up by background.
