Astarion sub class

Can someone confirm this to me please:
Can we choose the rogue subclass for Astarion at lvl3, or is it imposed ?
If imposed, which one (Thief, Assassin or Arcane trickster) ?

You get to choose at level 3 what subclass you want to be, also i was able to respec at the undead guy at camp for 100 gold

Assassin seems to be bugged, the perks are not working on my game
