Crash when Raphael transports you. Any help please? FIXED disable AA in video options

FIXED disable AA in video options

Raphael is the NPC on top of the large hill near the gate to the druid grove. The big hill is across the clearing and it has a campfire at the top. Raphael appears as you step forward after going up the ladder.

He speaks to you and says he is going to take you somewhere to talk. Then I get black screen and my monitor says "no signal" and turns off. It looks like the screen changes and starts to load a new scene, but after about 5 seconds the screen goes black and the monitor light goes to red. So whatever the issue is happens when Raphael transports you.

All my physical connections are fine. I have been playing quite happily with no issues or crashes for several hours so far today. Opening a different game worked fine.

I can just not go to the top of the big hill and continue the game I guess. But I dont know what I may be missing.

Any help, suggestions, ideas welcomed. Thankyou :)

it crashes whit me too, and i turned off AA and does not work.

Same issue. Happens using Vulkan and DX11.

Been having the same issue also, apparently, my AA was already off so IDK what to do from here. When I use another character to talk to him it still causes the crash.

I had the same problem and got past this by temporarily changing my resolution from 1440p to 1080p and my framerate cap from 60 to 30. After the cutscene I saved and changed my settings back.

Also can't work for some reason. Put literally every setting on the lowest but yet still doesn't work

Same issue with me. haven't tried the resolution change yet but it's not a display driver version; windows 10 with AMD graphics card.

Okay I worked around it. All I did was capped the framerate at 30 in the video settings. That was enough to get me through the crash. Hope that works for you all.

This and the scene on the bridge before the goblin camp would crash my computer the same way, I get around it by verifying game files and running the directx 11 executable as administrator. If that alone doesn't work I set the graphics to low and unplug my second monitor.

I don’t get the crash but Raphael just teleports to me over and over again and the conversation never actually triggers

I’m getting a complete system failure - I have to turn off the PSU and back on in order to get my computer back and up and running. It only happens with the Raphael scene when he starts to transport you, no other game.

i had a similar issue but after following the suggestions to change these video settings;
-Disable AA
-Lowest Resolution
-Below 30 maximum frame rate

I was able to get through the cut-scene.
