Cosmetic options

As someone who hasn't bought the game yet I just wanted some insight on the cosmetic options is there alot in the game because honestly that's all I need to know before I buy the game I love customising my characters with clothing and accessories if I was to play baldurs gate I'd hope to make a priest character hopefully with clergy type clothing

you can customize your genitals. But you have limited options regarding faces and stuff.
You can dye your armour which is kinda nice, don't think you could do that in EA (?)

Is there alot of clothing to choose from in game or is that kinda restricted

I haven't seen much of the game.. so I'm not sure of all the options.

You mainly have 3 cosmetic gear slot sets:
- main armor (4 pieces): Armor set, Boots, Helmet, Pendant
you'll wear this for the majority of time, on the world map and in combat

- clothing set (2 pieces): clothes, boots
i've seen the characters wear this in the camping area, maybe it's applied elsewhere?

- underwear
if you're not wearing either of the two gear sets above, your character is displayed in underwear (different types to collect), of which you can remove and go nude.

I have not discovered a 'true' transmogify (copy the visuals of an item to another) yet, but you can visualize your camp outfit onto your combat puppet.

You can hide and show your headpiece.
Equipment slots are:
Head
Cape
Chestpiece
Gloves
Boots
Amulett+two rings, both seem to be not visualized, or perhaps it's a graphic setting.
And underwear. Likely only take effect in certain cutscenes.

At character creation, you don't seem to have options for different starting outfits, except for choosing a different class.
The character creator is now somewhat more detailed than most of the older youtube videos (beta8 and below).
The latest provide some more makeup options, and newly, also to tint your lips / lipstick. Colours are in a wider range of spectrum, not just 10 different shades of red.
A wide arrange of haircuts with two color shading.
I suggest you watch one of the many youtube videos. If you caught one with the option icons at the top of the screen, you got a beta8 or below version.
Try to find one with the icons on the left and right hand side. That is the latest version and the one in the game.
