Weapons hide on back?

I don't know if this is a bug or some kind of setting that I accidentally enabled, but whenever my main character sheathes his weapon, the weapon gets hidden and doesn't stay on the back.

Weird thing is that this only affects the main character. Companions still have their weapons on their backs.

Anyone know anything about this? Is this just some setting that I am overlooking? Restarting the game doesn't help and I've tried to look for a solution, but I don't see anything in the menus, nor do I see anyone else online reporting such an issue.

It's an option on the "musical instrument" icon, I believe. There's three toggles - show weapons, show weapons and instruments, hide all. It'll be similar to the hide armor and hide helmet ones.

The icon is above the range weapons icon if you hover over it it will show a small box to check like with the helmet options

Hey, this is really weird. Your tip helped me, so thanks for that, BUT my shield is still not shown on my back. After klicking on this icons and triyed all options, my sword is shown again on my back. But what can i do to see my sword AND shield again, like at the beginning of the game?

Also putting back the instrument in my inventory did not help

Sadly shields just don't show on your back to my knowledge. I think there are mods for making them show though.

Thanks for the tip on hiding weapons in the instruments panel. Have no idea why Larian would put the"hide weapons" function in the panel where I put my lute, but problem solved. Now I can hide Orin's daggers like she does.

Sheilds are invisible, they do not show up on your back at all unfortunately.
