Yes exactly this error message, every time some time after starting the game, be it in menu, char creation (never gone further than that w/o crash).
Yes, I of course installed it on an SSD like all the other games I have and that are working. I mean if Larian cannot code SSD access I can install the game to one of the 4 HDDs I also have.
Thanks, this worked for me!
Recently downloaded the game. I started it, set the settings to "medium" (in the standard, the game gave me "ULTRA"), click play, watch the videos, only the game reaches the moment of choosing a class - DirectX crash. I did everything that was written in the branch earlier. I use Inno3D iChill GeForce GTX 1080 Ti x3 Ultra, 24GB RAM and Risen 5 5600x. Thermal paste has been replaced in the video card, the computer is dust-free. The game is installed on a 1TB hard drive. I did not put on an SSD, because I have an SSD of only 120GB. My friend has no error, although his computer is several times weaker than mine. I even swapped the RAM, but nothing has changed. I also installed all Windows 10 updates and updated the drivers.
I used a translator because I don't know English.
If mistakes are made, then I am very sorry
Note i have a 7900XTX and have some other fixes in place for other issues i had in the past, but this fix specifically stopped my crashes entirely in BG3.
I had an DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error on almost every cutscene or dialog. This action helped me. In the Nvidia control panel. Manage 3D settings > Programm Settings > Select Baldur's Gate.exe > Vulcan/OpenGl present method - Prefer narative
1) Cancel the entire file Larian studios on %AppData%
2) Download MSI afterburner
3) Open MSI afterburnber - on option "Power Limit%" you should have 100. Adjust that to 90-85 and hit Apply.
4) Enjoy the game!!!
