I deleted the folder (which includes the game and launcher appdata), restarted my PC since I had flickering issues after crashing, then opened the launcher. Logged back in, chose Vulkan instead of DX11, and started it. Let it sit in the character screen messing around a bit and I didn't crash. Playing good after that.
7900XTX is what I have.
Check your memory settings. Choose default settings in your bios. I had 6 chrashes in a hour. After setting my memory on default settings, all my problems are gone and I played for hours totally stable.
Also, delete the Larian Studios folder in \AppData\Local for good measure.
This seems to have resolved my dxgi device removed error crashing via DX11, and is allowing Vulkan to work without crashes or as many flickering textures.
thats worked for me,
i deleted the folder and starting the game without steam and the larian launcher with the "bg3_dx11.exe" as admin.
ive played today 3 hours without any crashes
