Pact of blade: specifics

Hi all. Looking to plan my character out. Planning on taking some warlock levels.

What is the new effect of the pact boons? Particularly interested in what pact of the blade does.

pact of blades can either bind weapons to characters so they cannot be dropped or create a weapon that does magic damage. any weapon you bind you will be proficient with. i like it the most out of the 3 pacts. the familiars are all pretty weak imo. the caltrops are nice but being able to use whatever weapon you want is hard to pass.

you can respec for very cheap, so don't worry to much about getting things 'wrong'

Sadly it doesn't work on ranged weapons which kinda sucks.
