Limit the number of quicksaves?

Is there not a way to limit how many quicksaves there are? I currently have around 40 quicksaves and it's not that cool. Could the devs potentially add a limiter where you rewrite the oldest quicksave and have a limit of 1-5?

Options --> Gameplay. There is a section with sliders called "Save Options" that will let you limit the number of Quicksaves, Autosaves, etc.

i think this seting is on the menu however, i don't know how much the minimum is because i did not change it, i just read "Max amount of saves "Max amount of quick saves

Thanks for the help. I just checked and it was there. Must've skimmed over it earlier without seeing it. Default is 25 but it the quicksave number keeps increasing so that's why I thought it was 40.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Mine was set to 35 when I first checked, then I changed it to 5. But that also doesn't seem to be right because I'm now on QuickSave_193 and none of them had been overwritten

I never checked what it was in ea but my default was 25 when i checked today in full release. Are all 193 saves there? I know I had about 40 when I last looked and changed it, although it seems I have to manually delete the old quicksaves before my new limit of 5 to come into effect.

Ended up with 15 GB in warhammer over the years before I noticed lol.

This is happening to me too, I have saves limited to 5 for Quick Saves and 5 per Autosaves but I already have up to save 45 for my quick saves.. the saves do not seem to be overwriting as intended with the limit.

Edit: I was able to resolve this on my own by deleting all of my quicksaves until I had 5, then tested by quicksaving - after I had done this, the quicksaves would not exceed 5.

I am guessing the logic checking for this isn't strict enough, and there may be a condition in there where if the quicksaves exceed the limit, the condition is ignored..

Still not fixed for me. 200+ Auitosaves with a limit of 5.

Hmm seems to be working for me with the default 25 saves. Takes an annoyingly long time to sync saves in steam though

What I found is you need to delete the quick or autosaves below your level it's set to then it should / probably work, mine went bad again as I hope between the PC and Steamdeck so the files re-sync'd 'aaarrgg' now to delete 200 saves on each device 'again'.

hopeing to see a fix for it to be purged / synced soon.

I believe the limits on QuickSaves is working, but it's more elaborate.

I set my maximum QuickSaves to 5. So, when I'm in the UnderDark and I press F5 to quicksave it's saving over the same five files over and over again. These are labeled as:

QuickSave_42_UnderDark
QuickSave_43_UnderDark
QuickSave_44_UnderDark
QuickSave_45_UnderDark
QuickSave_46_UnderDark

We need an ironman mode that limits us to 1 save and cannot be changed via a slider in settings. That will make the game infinitely more interesting and actually force us to live with our decisions/bad rolls, like a real D&D table.

You can just manually save that one save file over and over again, and never tap the QuickSave option ever. :)

Has this been solved? I have over 700 quicksaves now but the limit is set to 15.
