Coop save transfer

is there a way i can play the save me and my friend have where he is the multiplayer host (i would like to play the same character with my stuff on my own)

make them send you the save file then put it in your saves folder, it will either work or it wont

Of course it works.
Regardless that the thread here is quite old and should probably not have been dug up if it had not the answer you were looking for to begin with.

However, transferring savegames is no big deal for the game.
