Bard College of Lore

Is this subclass still forcing Arcana, Intimidation, and Sleight of Hand? I was really hoping this would be addressed in the full release.

Yeah, it is still forcing you to take those three. Very annoying.

It is still forcing these 3 skills, yes. And given that most Bards will want to focus 3 diplomacy option, choice of Intimidation will be waster (they do not stack).

To be honest I do not mind Arcana, Intimidation, and Sleight of Hand proficiency, however I noticed that after a respec I had 9 skills with proficiency compared to 8 (since I chose Intimidate at character creation). So yeah - when you make bard and want to go College of Lore, DO NOT PICK INTIMIDATION.

It's even worse since Intimidation a) makes no sense for the College and b) is forced by the Dark Urge character.

It's fixed. I was frustrated because I was doing a Bardbarbarian and couldn't figure out how to double my athletics. While you are leveling, click on the little tab on the left, scroll down. You can switch it to whatever skills you want by clicking on the button.

Depends. I play a half orc bard and get intimidation from being a half orc.

You can't respec race (or backgrounds) so I get one less skill from Collage of Lore.

In D&D 5e you get to choose 3 skills freely. I hope that this was Larians goal. And that this just "slipped through the cracks". They have many things to fix.

Those are your Expertise picks. This thread is about the three bonus skill proficiencies that Lore is supposed to give.
