Character creation is actually bugged.

Up until a certain point it auto switches.

After certain actions it stops auto switching.

That is body type switches the "identity".

Certain actions stop the auto switch though.

The entire layout, not to mention options, is sort of trashy so go figure.

That's literally the standard for RPGs. NPCs will literally know your name and what you look like before actually meeting you. Either this is your first time ever running into this sort of thing, or you're not actually worried about immersion as much as you say/think you are.

Besides... how is it immersion breaking for an option to exist that you won't choose? If you want to play the game before unpacking that in therapy, why not just play without that option?

Like, I'm probably going to make a plain dude with a ♥♥♥♥ and no tits (and probably a handlebar mustache), but if it brightens someone's day to make some nonbinary fineary with curly pink hair and vitiligo cranked up to 11, then I'm glad it's in the game!

How does some random NPC know that this very obviously male individual is actually a woman?

It’s done via email signature blocks, maybe there is some correlation, but none of this was an issue before the internet…

I'm no stranger dragonborn or femboy character designs... but I can't for the life of my figure out what a femboy dragonborn would look like.

Can you explain? Femboy designs typically differ from cis women designs, but I can't picture how that would look for dragonborn.

Nobody is bothered by that. I think people are just not all on board with having to deal.with story NPCs like that, jumping through story 'quests' for them that pertain to them being special that way....

where do I go to check what pronouns I have selected? I swear I thought I selected male but in quest log and stuff I see alot of "we" etc. I want to make sure I chose what I thought I did

Why should what's in someone's pants dictate whether you use "he" or "she"? And why is your reaction to someone using a different word so volatile? If someone looks like a Tim but they are a Derek, are you "bowing down" to the <1% of the population named Tim? Using a person's preferred pronoun is just as easy as using their name. Not complicated.
