i realized i did this at first i chose a male head but i forgot to change the "pronoun" to male

Well I did not pay attention to that when I created my character lol. So I don't have anyway to check my gender? I just selected a male body type and rushed to the class, race and looks stuff, I did not know this option existed at all lmao

Guess I'll have to restart the game. I was just at the start after the introduction mission but Sucks tbh.

Me and many other was against such a settings.... no one heard on it...
Now we are here and have players that don´t notice this setting and have to restart the game. Well done devs.

You what the weird thing is? I don't call people by name or gender I just talk to them. Why do you have to state anyone's gender anymore? I rather say It want something or point to the person to refer to them I rather not get personal with most people.


Honestly let's be real at this point this is what is really going on in the west.

knowledge in order to persecute a group in future.

How does some random NPC know that this very obviously male individual is actually a woman?

You accidentally picked Female as your identity.

Body type is only half of choosing your gender. You have to choose BOTH your body type AND how you self-identify the character. There are voicelines for Him/His, Her, and They/Them.

No, it's not necessary. It's simply how Larian designed the game. Unfortunately LGBTQIA2S++ people are a big part of the CRPG/fantasy role-playing market (for obvious reasons) so they have to appeal to them to increase sales.

Why should what's in someone's pants dictate whether you use "he" or "she"? And why is your reaction to someone using a different word so volatile? If someone looks like a Tim but they are a Derek, are you "bowing down" to the <1% of the population named Tim? Using a person's preferred pronoun is just as easy as using their name. Not complicated.

Because names don't mean anything, while pronouns do?

There are no identifiers that define someone as a "Tim", while we've had a pretty good understanding of the difference between male and female for tens of thousands of years.

If pronouns have no implicit meaning, then why do some people want different ones?

Yeah, second-person gendered pronouns thankfully aren't a thing

If I were to design a language I'd get rid of gendered pronouns entirely. I see no point in segregation in language. Might as well have pronouns for nationality, skin color, hair color, like why? Instead of every person dictating their pronouns to you we just use one set of pronouns for all humans, it could be so simple

I strongly feel that pronouns serve no purpose anymore at all. Telling biological male from female at least had somewhat of a point, but if people pick their own pronouns as if they were names then it's truly easier to just get rid of them
