Hah, need to remember that xD
This did not work for me. I even slaughtered the entire grove, I murdered innocents, I went back on my word multiple times. Still no broken oath.
I chose to help Glut (VENGEANCE BUDDY!) take Spur's colony, and I was just mad my oath was broken since I was playing the dark urge. I was really surprised it hadn't been broken when I killed the tiefling bard, so I just kept going like "I will fight this urge to kill with my faith! I will sate my thirst for blood with that of the wicked and vile!"
did you absolutly made sure that it was your own character that opened the cage? cause this was the point it failed for me waaay back then. i let astarion lockpik the door AND open the cage and that was the mistake, it has to be the paladin who does it.
No - you have to revert to your oath in order to *respec* - you can multiclass just fine with a broken oath ...
