I love the game.....But im overwhelmed
I love DnD and this game genre. The game is great but it is new in a sense to me when it comes to this type of game. I think I am going through like sensory overload or something. Too much detail all around when I am trying to move around the map. It could also be because I am constantly looking for mysteries because I don't know what to expect.

You don't have to do everything, that's where multiple playthrough's come in :)
Also don't do it all in one go, just enjoy what you want to I suppose, took me awhile to get used to this mindset, but it helped me.

Take your time. It is normal.

It is expected to be a little bit overwhelmed in those kind of games if you do not play them often. Its the same with playing your first grand strategy game. A lot of stuff to learn, could be difficult at first. But you get used to this and other games of the same type will be much easier to get into.

Do what I do every time i play a new game.

Before i even start a brand new campaign, i look in the game settings/options, get familiar whats there and what can be changed. Video settings, audio, game settings, ect.

Then start a new game, if it has a character creator, then I take it all in little by little by looking and getting familiar with each section one by one, seeing the stats, the visual options, the UI and all that.

I start the game, and before i even move my character, i just go corner by corner, looking at all the UI that visible, getting familiar with it.

Then I open up all the UI options one by one. Like journal, map, inventory, and studying it all and getting familiar with it.

Then i move on to controls, looking at the key binds, seeing what actions i can do by pressing buttons and such and so on.

Once I get familiar with all of that, then I start playing the game. And I even experiment with things right at the start, like seeing if theres fall damage, walking over fire, seeing what certain actions do, using items to see what they do so if i mess up, I can just go back to the starting point since I just started the game.

I do this with every game I play, it helps from being overwhelmed, when you take each element, one at a time, bit by bit. Its time consuming tho, but its worth it to get your bearings and really enjoy the game.

BG3 sets a standard for the next few years. It's a treasure trove of things to discover in a gorgeous enviroment.
The complexity can easily be absorbed by motivated players that don't seek a quick fix.

When I opened my EA cookie jar I created my characters, explored the map, completed Act 1 quests, experimented with dialog, tested weapons & spells, and learned a few things about my party. This is on the job learning from launch so let your saves help you along.

The developers' intent was to overwhelm you and those waiting for full release will experience the full complexity of the game. Early access was just orientation.

not seeking a quick fix. And well aware of what BG3 has accomplished.
