It would also be REALLY nice to just save the progress of the character on the server. That way if you have 5 friends and 1-2 can't play that day the 5th can join instead with their own Player Character so you never get stuck with just the same 3 players plus yourself.
This was a really devastating setback. The fact that there is no warning is mind-blowing to me. I hope this gets fixed very soon, because this is such a phenomenal game and is certainly in the running for "game of the year." This is really the only issue I've had with the game. Unfortunately it's a HUGE issue.
This thread is nine pages long for me, mate. And I haven’t seen the actual post count go down at all.
Please... I just want to leave the character at camp so we can play again later...
I would also like to see this feature added.
But the fact you can't let him in your camp is stupid...
I understand they don't want hosts deleting peoples characters but they should be moved to an unused list of some kind if they don't play anymore...
Which technically is how the game works now.. they can ' drop in ' .. play.. then they ' drop out ' an you level their guy while they are away so they can hop back in later =) Seems like its working as intended.. not as ' we want it to '.. Granted if thats the point, it should at least WARN you when you start a multiplayer game.. in this way.. so you know what your getting into.. an cant cry about it later.. how much you want to bet .. they just throw on the disclaimer at some point an say ' sorry ' heh
That doesn't fix the issue of them not being left in camp and swapped for a proper NPC or another player. If you have a player-character, you are now locked out of an NPC slot unless you use that character.
