I want a direct answer from the Devs

Why are there so many genital options, yet so few options to customize our face?
Who is this catering towards?
I can't imagine the player base OR shareholders wanting this.

Edit: Alright everyone, I was busy playing the game all afternoon/evening yesterday, and I'm going to say that my character's face has been bothering me this entire time (i picked the one I disliked the least). He just doesn't look like the way I want my wizard to look. Hell, my companions all look cooler.

I am just going to say that I think 99% percent of the player base will be happier if they improved face customization to match the level of Skyrim, Mass Effect, or Dragon Age (all games that are over a decade old). I'm not even asking for Fallout 4's facial customization.

To the people saying that I can simply turn off the genital stuff, that still misses the fundamental point I was trying to make: and that is the vast majority of the player base would love improvements to facial customization. With or without genitals, I think we can all agree that the ability to shape our characters' noses, brow shape, cheekbones, jawline, etc. would be well received by the players.

That's true, all this bigmouth about customization without limits was false - few faces, few beards but possibility to add ♥♥♥♥ to a woman or a ♥♥♥♥♥ to a man. Ech...

The devs have never ever responded on this forum as far as I know, and I've been here for three years. Honestly you're best bet is probably either twitter, or their official forums.

Nah not possible. Also the whole defaulting to females and not changing the sex with the button is downright idiot material.

It's catered to people who are so socially stunted that the closest they will ever be to having a romantic partner is the one they design for themselves in a video game. I've played this game for a couple hours and it seems to be catered to a very fringe demographic of sexual deviants. Customization was hyped and promoted non-stop but you can't even customize the looks of your companions or hirelings? What a joke.

There not even many genital option. Honestly it's two option penis or "vulva". There rest is just ammount of hair around them.
Character Creator is so far weakest part of BG3 and excuse "muh they will be more option on launch" is not working anymore. There barely any difference in preset numbers compared to EU, human, for example, get whooping 2(!) new presets total. Just pathetic.

The character customization is bad... Like really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. I imagine its fine if you want to create a specific type of character but if you want to create say a Barbarian who is angry and aggressive towards everything its really hard to make a character that fits that visually and having a voice that matches.

Like no body is truly big and muscular enough to have that stereotypical roided out Barbarian look. All the voice options are basically just slight variations on a upper class British accent. The hair cuts are all very clean as well and no hair cut in the game really screams "I am a Barbarian", unless that Barbarian also frequents his hair dresser every week.

My character is a Half-Orc Barbarian with a very cleanly kept Mohawk and Beard who was raised in the wilds and sounds like he just graduated from Oxford University....

Its completely immersion breaking.
