Remove multiplayer character from my game

This rando joined my game and left his character there. Now I can't get rid of it. How do I remove her from the party? I can't make interactions and it locks me out of camp because it says he's in a private event.

Well - that didn't take long. The a'holes are already crawling out from under their rocks to mess up other players' games.

If you can find the person's user name then contact steam support and have the bum banned.

That's just plain asinine. It's like blaming your self for your whole family (except) being killed by a drunk driver because you drove to a restaurant for family dinner night.

Multiplayer shouldn't be this way. How the f should i know people could do that. And I'm not even sure if it's intentional. The multiplayer design is awful for new comers.

Non removable Multiplayer characters is one of the most glaring ♥♥♥♥ Ups Larian has left in this game.
And thats even for games with friends, its even worse in cases like this.

In settings, change multiplayer option to "invite only". If you have a save already loaded you can also change it in the "session" menu.
