BG3 not connected to community servers

issue as stated above, am fully connected to the internet, game has permissions to go through firewall and i tried launching both as an admin and not. verified game files without any issues but for some reason the game is just completely unable to be played in multiplayer.

Anyone got a clue?

I can't find a way to fix it. I think the problem is that I originally played the game through steam share and now it's stuck in that mode where it won't allow me to connect to online and it won't give me achievements or let me turn on the steam overlay

did my previous comment not work either? restarting steam helped, and i havent had the issue since, though you might have an entirely new issue so to that i wouldnt know...

Hey all, came here looking for a solution as well. If any of you are still having issues with this, run the game as administrator (worked for me).

This is what worked for me, too. I closed steam and made sure to right click and choose exit in the bottom right hand of my start bar. I dont know what it is called, it is where the time is.
