Not possible. If you enable DLAA then DLSS gets auto-disabled.

If you are struggling to maintain frame rate with no scaling, run DLSS. If you have more horsepower than you need and can sacrifice performance for fidelity, run DLAA.

Having not used AMD/ATI since the late 00s /early 10s, I'm not sure if there is an equivalent

Native res, with DLAA as anti alaising I would say. Or does TAA look better? I almost can't tell.

DLSS only if you struggle with fps

That's because DLAA is using the same AA as DLSS but without the upscaling/supersampling. DLAA is running at native resolution while DLSS is upscaling from a lower resolution. DLAA is better at maintaining stability as it's higher resolution, but DLSS has the benefit of increasing performance.

DLAA is basically DLSS without the upscaling part, so DLAA will have higher image quality, DLSS will grant you more fps.

Under no circumstance should anyone ever use DLSS unless you absolutely have to, it looks soooooo bad.

OK, thanks, folks. I have an i9-13900K and RTX 4090 so DLAA it is :47_thumb_up:

I'm limiting fps to 90 anyway since it's not necessary to run at 144fps for a turn-based game. Might as well save some power (and heat :winter2019angryyul: ).

No it doesn't unless you're playing below 1440p or using ultra performance mode.

This is exceptionally untrue. There are plenty of games where DLSS looks better than native and it definitely always looks better than native + TAA.

It all depends on the implementation but 9/10 games DLSS either looks just as good as native with no visible difference or even slightly better.

You misspelled AMD's FSR as DLSS. In fact, plenty of games using TA as AA look better with DLSS on than the native. DLSS gets significantly better at 2K resolution +.

No it dosnt. I game at 4k and DLSS looks like trash in every single game ive tried it in. Its blurry and has constant artifacts and ghosting when there is a lot of motion. Even on quality its soooo terrible compared to native 4k.

Ive played about 20 games at 4k with dlss, and in NO case did it ever even come close to looking like native 4k. Get your eyes checked buddy

Yeah, right, "buddy" ;) .

Nevermind all the hardware print media and websites who have done in-depth analyses of dozens upon dozens of games, comparing DLSS/FSR/XeSS to native and who have confirmed time and again that DLSS (Quality/Ultra) often times looks better or equal to native.
Nope. Scratch all that. Everyone listen up and call Mr. 8-Bit Ears cuz he is THE worldwide super-authority on DLSS visuals :happy_yeti: .

Well, you do you... while many of us, myself included, will happily keep using DLSS even with a 13900K and RTX 4090.

so true. i don heave perfect vision, but even at 1440p with quality preset i see visual degradation. may be it's good option for BIG 4k tv panels but don't know.
But DLAA is just shockingly good for me. First game where i tried it and it's almost perfect (some artifacts i still notice from time to time while fast camera panning).
