Not from the description, but that hints on the gloves being useless unless you get a physical mark…

Anyone can confirm that Gloves of Power need the the Absolute brand to work or in other words it doesn't inflict Bane without the brand? I read some mixed stories on reddit.

If not, Gale is eating leather gloves with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

They 100% work if you use them with the character that get the brand in the goblin camp. My Astarion been using them for the longest time now.
