For those that still don't get this I've just looked it up: Divinity Original Sin 2, by far the most popular cRPG in recent history and selling tens of millions of copies, had a peak player count of 93k on release in Sept 2017.

So BG3 - so far - is about four times a popular as DOS2. Clearly dead as a dodo

Seems like all those old gamers from back in the days came to show that BG > DOS

Well. It's made by the same developer, so it's gonna play similarly to DOS. With DnD lore.

More seriously, I suspect dev had totally wrong numbers when few days before release (about a week) they was quoting 2M of sells (when Steam numbers was hinting 6M).
