Was set on a Tiefling Warlock, now Githyanki just feels amazing for Warlock cause you get racial Mage Hand, racial Misty Step, you can take Guild Artisan to be proficient in all Charisma skills and then just Astral Knowledge all the Intelligence skills, Medium Armor as well if you want more AC I guess. Problem is I hate how they look. Such a curveball.
btw, that ability reminds me of a mystic ability, which I played. Annoys all the other players, cause I can do everything. I could even quickly learn tool proficencies.
We were in a setting where magic items were really rare, so it ended up being very useful for crafting any magic items we needed. I could easily change to any proficiency we needed for a specific item.
* Be so awesome if someone mods in the mystic class <3 One can dream
