What percentage of download is needed before I can play

What percentage of download is needed before I can play. I'm at about 28% so far. Steam is not so helpful as PS5 which indicates exactly what is needed before play begins.

I don't believe it works like that on Steam. You'd need 100% to play.

On pc you never can play before its done downloading, at least on steam. Some launchers like blizzard will allow you to play at a set percent though. Just steam ive never seen a game do this.

Dang! I misread the setting. It says something about downloads while playing a game but now I see it really means allow other downloads while playing a game. This is a serious weakness. I mean, technically there might be enough in 10 or 20% to start playing but we have to wait for all of it! And when one remembers that most games are never finished by most players, that means we're waiting for no good reason. Oh well...

Anyway, the game does try to launch from the desktop so I'm going to try it from time to time just to see if I discover an unknown feature. hehe! :) now at 32% Impatient? moi? I'm only getting this game to fill in until September when Starfield launches. At this rate I might be playing Starfield first!
