I played a year or 2 ago with my 3070 with no issues. Got a 4090 now and I had a similar issue with diablo 4 but I resolved it by updating mobo bios.
not really running anything super crazy or tweaked.
10900k w/ 32gb @3866mhz and a 4090.
No special overclocks on the cpu, just the default boost. case has 10 fans with decent wire management so it shouldn't be overheating. Gpu was either on default options or some pretty tame overclocks like max power limit and core/mem clocks at 250mhz each.
Gonna try some diablo 4 for an hour and see if the issue comes back. I only updated my gpu drivers this morning. I'll try to come back with my findings to help out.
Just for reference, my PSU is SeaSonic Platinum 650W, which is borderline enough for my processor and 3070.
