Can't change the background of my custom character
Is this normal? I create a new charatcer to play, by choosing The Dark Urge, option, but it doesn't let me change the background...
Is this normal?

Dark Urge is a character in themselves with their own background.

The new character creation is just weird. Most stuff is on the left side bar you move through, and customization is in middle of screen next to proceed.

It is stupid though, if you can customise everything else about Dark Urge, why not background? Now I'm stuck with Medicine skill which I don't need, instead of a more useful skill.

There definitely should at least be text in the backgrounds section saying "you can't change this background because you chose Dark Urge".

The dark urge IS the background. It's an origin character whose narrative allows for a customised character. It's a way to have a tailored narrative and a custom character at the same time.

question in this same vein. just played for the first time last night. i created a custom character and there was no background selection available. is that normal? i was looking for one bc i expected there to be one, but there just wasn't any option presented.

Share screenshots to clarify. If you are missing it, it might be most likely a mod issue.
