performance is better than EA!
Just played for a short period and game is much much much smoother and higher framerate than the Early Acces.
I am not far into the game but wanted to report back for those who are still downloading or waiting.
R7 7800X3D 32 GB RTX 2080 Ti
EA average 100 fps ( DLSS Q. )
Full Game 130 fps ( DLSS Q.)

This is excellent news! I had some brief stuttering in the EA that I hope has been ironed out in the full release.

DirectX or Vulkan?

That'S my hope as well. My CPU is the problem, I know, but it's roughly the min spec (Ryzen 3 2200G). Game was running on 60 fps in EA but in some instances it had these 2 sec freezes. I managed to minimize it by killing all background programs with KillEmAll, starting BG3.exe as admin without steam and selecting SMAA instead of TAA.
But it was a wired problem, game was running on Ultra 60fps, but then like autosaving 2 sec lag in goblin camp and some other random places. Hopefully it will be gone now. I think in 2 hours my download is finished, I'm very curious.

Playing in DX11 and can also confirm its running nice and smooth in 4k for me :) Happy adventuring, friends.

Yep. Way smoother overall in DX11. Sweet.

Mortismal did say there are framerate problems in the third act though.

EDIT: I had stutter in Vulkan in EA, but I just tested it and that seems fixed too.

Performance is great for me at 1440p and Vulkan as well.

all in all the full game feels and plays as a different game in comparison of the Early Acces. And in a good way that is.

It feels quicker smoothier and snapier better frametimes and higher framerate.

Larian...you actually did it.. you listened to the performance trouble and ironed it out..

im off and thank you!

I think my CPU (i5-7600) is a bottleneck as well, but it should be able to run the game fairly smoothly with lower settings.

I think in 2 hours my download is finished, I'm very curious.

Best of luck! I've got 10% left to download ...

Here game seems to run well in 4K Ultra DLSS Q 120fps...
But I am just in the begining...
Vael de Lyis Aug 3, 2023 @ 11:13am
Weird, I lose 20fps in the full game t_t
Madjar Aug 3, 2023 @ 1:11pm
Funnily enough I'm having worse FPS with lower settings than EA.
dropping down to 45 fps in the grove, was at 60 stable before.
Have DLSS set to performance too
