I've tried all different display modes, none let me change the resolution.
When I went to using K&M it let me change it. Not sure if that's what fixed it or if it randomly resolved itself.
Try to use Vulkan instead of DX11.
The other thing I used was forcing the GPU in Windows' graphics settings for the bg3.exe AND bg3_dx11.exe.
...Oh wait wrong resolution.
Fyi: Resolution is under Settings > Video
I wanted to try 1440P but yeah there's not the option.
But in any case if you stick with a bigger resolution you could just activate DLSS / FSR it is basically rendering in a lower resolution and than just upscaling almost at no cost and with better quality than the screen Upscaller would do.
While quality doesn't reduce the resolution that much performance does. Try it out.
