How do you change the resolution?
I want to set it to 1080p (display's current native) but it is defaulting to 4k and not letting me change it.

Switch to fullscreen (if possible), it's probably in borderless windowed mode, which uses your native res.

I've tried all different display modes, none let me change the resolution.

same. trying to reduce the load on my 3070 razer blade 14, but stuck at 1440 and that's the only option it gives in the dropdown. i've also tried all the different screen modes, all drivers n such updated, changing my current display reso in windows, changing settings through GeForce (automatically gets re-set), etc. Anybody have any other ideas?

When I went to using K&M it let me change it. Not sure if that's what fixed it or if it randomly resolved itself.
Bump. Anyone know why we cant change the resolutions?

I found a temporary solution that worked for me--think it's an incompatibility issue with certain monitors. I plugged in a different monitor, changed the display monitor in-game settings to the external, then unplugged it. The setting stayed as the external and was able to access other resos in the dropdown there. Lost my 165hz but was able to get a performance boost by being able to change to 1080p. Hopefully this gets fixed in the future but for now i can at least play!!

UPDATE:

Try to use Vulkan instead of DX11.
The other thing I used was forcing the GPU in Windows' graphics settings for the bg3.exe AND bg3_dx11.exe.
Had the same. Change to vulkan and you're set :)

Takes one year for the cooldown to reset so you can change it.

...Oh wait wrong resolution.

Zombie thread coming for our BRAINZZZZ!
Fyi: Resolution is under Settings > Video

I had this issue on my Framework laptop even in Vulcan. No change I made to windowed, fullscreen, or borderless would allow me to change things. I eventually managed to get the options changeable by setting the aspect ratio to 16:9. Hope this helps :-D

This is happening to me, it's imposible to play on any resolution compatible with the native one 2560x1600 of my screen on dx11.
Same it doesn't really let me change the resolution, it's only proposing me 1280x720 or 1920x1080 in 16:9.

I wanted to try 1440P but yeah there's not the option.

Had to check the resolution thing but can't at the moment.

But in any case if you stick with a bigger resolution you could just activate DLSS / FSR it is basically rendering in a lower resolution and than just upscaling almost at no cost and with better quality than the screen Upscaller would do.

While quality doesn't reduce the resolution that much performance does. Try it out.
