Why can't we have rolled abilities? Why stick with point buy? I want to roll my stats. I want to gamble with my stats!

By "gamble" you mean just rerolling over and over again until you get 16-18 in everything. Which is exactly why they didn't let you roll for your stats.

this. not surprised it isnt included by default but dont worry it will be added by mods

Because point-buy is literally the core default rule for determining ability scores, rolling is a variant option. Be glad they even bothered to put feats in because those are variant too (not that we get many with only 12 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ levels and stats being way more important from my experience with the EA)

No. I don't want to have the ability to re-roll constantly. Having 2 or 3 rolls for ability stats is something they should add. It's something that most DnD groups running campaigns use if not using premades.

I don't like roll dice, for stat, too much click to get most of it when I played baldur's gate 1 and 2, I recalled. I did use program to do auto reroll dice all night to get most of it.

Why does everyone assume that's what a person will do? I for one follow the same rules my irl DMs give me, roll twice take the better rolls. If all are bad, point buy

I dont believe you. Surely wasting three hours of your life for that possibility is the only reason you play baldurs gate.
